Honey Project Global Outreach (HPGO) seeks to provide market-based solutions to address sustainable development and poverty alleviation efforts in emerging nations and communities.

Goal: To assist in the effort of global poverty alleviation

Global Outreach Project: Agogo, Ghana
The Honey Project has established an agricultural and beekeeping cooperative in Agogo, Ghana–  Fort Lauderdale’s sister city  to promote sustainable development in a rural Sub-Saharan community in need. The Agogo cooperative will supply the Honey Project’s social enterprise with fair trade natural honey, beeswax, royal jelly and other honey related products.  Honey Project Global Outreach will continue to provide training for the farmers responsible for the honey production units and invest in additional beehives to increase honey production. HPGO will create a new market for African farmers,  and provide needed training and positive activities for young people in both communities.
